Seamlessly Integrate Forms Apps with Pronnel Boards

Step 1 · Add a Forms App Instance

Go to Settings > Apps and click Add. Search for Jotform, Typeform, or WordPress Forms. Choose Private (only you) or Shared (everyone on the workspace) and save.

Next, go to the Manage section of the app. You can access this by clicking the three dots available on the added app instance and selecting Manage. For Jotform, you’ll need to provide an API Key. The steps to generate the API Key are shown within the Manage section itself. Just scroll down to read the instructions, then generate the token from your Jotform account and paste it here.

Step 2 · Create a Matching Jotform

Create a Jotform with the necessary fields that reflect the attributes of your board. For instance, if your board is used for Bug Tracking, include fields like Bug Title, Description, Priority, and Status. This makes it easy to map form fields to board attributes, ensuring the information stays intact during item creation.

Step 3 · Set Up Automation to Create Items

Go to the Automations section and create a new rule. Set the trigger as Form Submission (e.g., Jotform submission), and set the action to Create Item on the relevant board. Once configured, publish the automation. Now, every time someone submits the form, a new item will be automatically created in your board with mapped values.

Step 4 · Test and Share Your Form

It’s time to see your integration in action! Open the connected form and submit a test entry—fill in all the relevant details, such as the bug description, priority, and other key information.
